Nursery

The nursery ministry exists to provide a safe, caring, loving and fun environment for our babies.

The nursery is available so that parents have both the opportunity to have a break and also listen to the sermon, while knowing that their babies are being loved and cared for by trustworthy people. The nursery is located in the Noah's ark room in the NWVC building.

We truly value the safety and protection of our children, so a mandatory background check is done on all who wish to volunteer
in the nursery.

Greeters

The greeters ministry sets the
tone for what people are going to experience here as they walk through our front doors. We want people to know that they matter and we're glad they're here.

Greeters aid in fostering a welcoming, accepting, loving, glad you're here atmosphere. This is Jesus' heart towards us, so this is our heart for others.

The greeters post is at the front doors of our building before and after services on Sunday mornings and special events.
Axiom Youth

Axiom is a place where youth can come, have fun, be crazy and experience God.

In Matthew 28:19 Jesus says this: Go and make disciples of all nations -- EVEN YOUTH!!! Our heart at Axiom is to love Jesus and show His love to other people. We do this by following two simple rules; love God and love people. at heart and wish to chaperone or help lead/oversee youth.

The Axiom building is located on the corner of 4th and Rice St. (two blocks behind St. Paul's Lutheran church). The address is 203 South 4th St.

Every Wednesday night from 7:30-9:00 p.m.(come and chill from 6:45-7:30)

We truly value the safety of our youth, so

Vineyard Kids

The children's ministry is our avenue to provide a caring, nurturing, fun environment for our children, enabling them to come to know Jesus and to build a relationship with Him. We trust that Jesus will work through the support of loyal loving teachers, a solid curriculum, worship and other activities to touch our precious children.

We want Jesus to bless and touch our children's lives, and in Luke 18:15-17 we can clearly see Jesus do just that! In this text Jesus says, Let the little children come to me, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Our expectation is that as we present the realities of Jesus to our children, Jesus will reach out and bless them through His touch, and our children's lives will be forever changed for the good.amp; Sea of Galilea classrooms during the 8:30 and 10:30 services, when released after the announcements.

FYI, we truly value the safety of our children, so a mandatory background check is done on all who wish to volunteer in the children's ministry.
Usher Ministry

We want the Northwoods Vineyard to be a home for every person that walks through our doors, a place to feel God's love and presence in and through each of us.nd available seating for folks during services and to assist in gathering tithes.

The post for the ushers is by the doors entering the sanctuary during the 8:30 and 10:30 services on Sunday mornings and occasionally during special events. A typical time commitment is about once per month.
Welcome Ministry

This ministry welcomes guests by providing practical gestures such as showing children their classrooms, answering questions, giving tours of the building, explaining the flow of a typical Sunday morning service and distributing a connect card and a welcome packet.

We want the Northwoods Vineyard to be a home for every person who walks through our doors, a place to feel God's love and presence in and through each of us., located in the foyer. We are there before and after the 8:30 and 10:30 services on Sunday mornings and once in a while, before and after special occasions. A typical time commitment is about once per month.
Alpha Class

Alpha is for everyone, especially those who would not call themselves a Christian, who don't regularly attend church, who have questions about the meaning of life, are investigating Christianity, or who just want to learn or refresh themselves in the basics of the Christian faith.

The Alpha course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith and a place to explore life's big questions. Alpha is about relationship, it's an opportunity to develop a deepening connect with Jesus and others.er quarter for a duration of 10 weeks. Each week we have a dessert/coffee time together followed by a thought provoking teaching and then lively discussion groups. There is plenty of time to get to know each other while you learn together. Some of the topics discussed are: Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? How can I be sure of my faith? Why and how should I read the Bible? What about the church?
Basics

Basics is for everyone, especially those who are interested in finding out more about Northwoods Vineyard Church and are considering becoming a member.
Basics is the NWVC official membership class. This is a 6 week class that includes a meal together, teaching on one of our values, discussion time and prayer.he biblical rationale for what, why and how we do things around here. It is also an opportunity to develop friendships.

This class is offered 3 times per year
Little Son Catchers- Toddlers Ministry

Bible-based program for toddlers age 2-4.

Recovery

For those who struggle with any types of addictions or harmful patterns.

This Ministry is to bring the freedom of Christ into all areas of our lives. This may include working through major issues including past and present hurts, abuse and addictions, inviting God to breakthrough and bring the healing we need. full. His death on the cross and resurrection allow us to experience freedom from destructive sins and harmful life patterns as well as sins committed against us. (Col. 2:15) This healing takes place in the context of a safe, supportive community and through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We meet Monday nights at 6pm at the nwvc Building.
Music Ministry

Worship is one of the key values of NWVC. Jesus is the only one who is worthy of our worship and hearts devotion. He longs for us to worship him in spirit and truth (John 4:21-24) Therefore our worship is to be God-initiated and centered on Jesus, and an intimate and self-disclosing time with him. It is both an individual and corporate experience as we worship him together as a family of believers.

Worship time involves the church band leading congregation in songs directed to bring Jesus the praise He deserves. We want to create a comfortable atmosphere where people can be themselves as they worship, experience the presence of Jesus and then encourage others to do the same.rning services and special events.

The worship team practices for Sunday services once per week and then meets Sunday mornings before the first service to warm up.
The worship team also involves sound technicians, who are trained to run the sound board(no experience required).
Parenting Class

Growing Kids God's Way is a curriculum taught, via video, by Gary & Anne Marie Ezzo.
This class is for parents or soon-to-be-parents who want to learn about God's perspective on how to raise their children. be morally responsible, living out God's standard and showing God to the world.

"Growing Kids God's Way" is taught once per year for a peroid of 17 weeks.
Prayer Ministry Team

Prayer ministry takes place when an individual, couple or family responds to something that God is stirring within them and they come forward to receive encouragement and care from those on the prayer team.
The prayer team is for people who have a passion for prayer and desire to see God move through prayer both in individual lives and in the corporate life of the church.f the primary ways that this restoration comes is through times of prayer. Prayer is a vital part of demonstrating the power and active presence of God's kingdom. During prayer ministry, we both talk to God and ask Him for his blessings and encouragement for someone, and then we listen to what he would say to that individual.
Building Oversight

Building Oversight includes snow plowing, repairs, lawn care, church cleaning, painting, etc.

We want to be good stewards of what God has given us. We also want to create an environment that is visibly welcoming to people. church buildings. You can volunteer for as little or as much as your time allows.
Coffee
 
We want the Northwoods Vineyard to be a home for every person that walks through our doors, a place to feel God's love and presence in and through each of us. Serving good coffee is a practical way for us to say We value you. We're glad you're here!

This ministry is for people who are morning people, enjoy serving others, are hospitable, enjoy time in the kitchen and love good coffee! coffee throughout services and then cleaning up the kitchen afterwards. Coffee is served before, during, and after each NWVC service as well as special occasions.
God's Help
 
God's Help is a service, providing a simple helping hand to those who don't have the skills or means to accomplish a given project.

God desires to use all of our and this is one way that we can practically use them to show God's love in a simple way.

This ministry is for anyone who wants to show God's love to others by helping out in practical ways.
Community Outreach
 
Meeting needs of our community; therefore, showing God's love in simple, practical ways.

The Bible says that when we serve someone in need, we are serving Jesus himself because he came to this world not to be served but to serve. (Matt. 25:4; Mark 10:45) This ministry includes serving the poor, fatherless and widows as Jesus commanded us to do (Duet. 10:18) because Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (James 2:14-17)'s love to a world that is in great need of Him! (Matt. 28:19)
Environmental Stewardship

Environmental Stewardship is educating people and finding practical ways to care for God's creation.

The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display His marvelous craftmanship.(Psalm. 19:1), people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal powers of divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God. (Romans 1:20)

The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and care for it. (Genesis 2:15)

He existed before everything else began, and He holds all creation together. (Colossians 1:17)

The Vineyard community has an opportunity to reveal more of God by caring for His creation and tending to His garden.

This ministry is for those who have strong conviction to take care of God's earth.
Shapes Class

Shapes Class helps you both discover and explore how God uniquely created you; including your personality, spiritual gifts and talents.

We are the body of Christ and we all need each other; as each of us does his/her part serving Christ, we, the church, represent God to the world. (1 Cor. 12:12)n order to plug into the area where God can use you most effectively and where you can enjoy serving Him most. There's nothing like doing what God has made you for!

This class meets 3 times per year and is for everyone. God desires for each of us to use the gifts/abilities/talents that He's given us for His purposes and for His glory.
Vineyard Leadership Insititue (VLI)

VLI is a Vineyard-based accredited seminary education program that is taught by Dr. Steve Robbins of Columbus Vineyard Church of Columbus Ohio. Students spend 2 years taking courses at a distance through DVD, studying the bible from Genesis to Revelation, theology, preaching, evangelism, etc, while walking out what they learn in service of the local church.

VLI is Vineyard's tool to raise up and train potential church leaders and church planters. This curriculum allows you not only to gain seminary knowledge but also practical, hands-on training as you learn.
Conflict Resolution

Interactive informative workshops that involve teachings regarding personality, communication, forgiveness and practical steps to take to resolve conflicts in a Godly way. Offered 3 times per year.

All of us have been involved in a conflict; God desires each of us to learn to resolve these conflicts in a biblical way!en to everyone.

Graphics

Creation of materials to promote upcoming events or information in an artistic, memorable way. This may include but is not limited to designing printed materials, power point slide shows, monthly urinal journal, logos as well as other creative projects. This group also includes those who run video projection for worship on Sunday mornings.

We want to use all our giftings and talents for God's glory. This includes the artistic gifting, which is highly valuable in communicating important information that displays artistic excellence and tact. God himself is an artist and desires us to use that gift to glorify Jesus. c creativity gifting, computer/graphic skills, and desire to use these talents for promotion and creation of visual arts as well as running video projection software.

This ministry includes the weekly updating of the Power Point slide show for Sunday mornings and the mothly upkeep of the Urinal Journal. Technicians are also needed to run video projection software during worship at both services. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer as little or as much as your time allows.
Speak Up

"Speak Up" is a ministry to the special needs community of Tomahawk. It includes meal, music, teaching, prayer and providing special events (parties, dances, picnics, etc.).

The bible tells us to Speak up er you did for one of the least of these, you did for me.' (Matt 25:45)

"Speak Up" meets the first Tuesday of each month at hte nwvc building. This minisry is for those who have a love for those with special needs (disabilities) and desire to serve them and connect them to Jesus.

NWVC Building Kitchen

We want the Northwoods Vineyard to be a home for every person that walks through our doors, a place to feel God's love and presence in and through each of us. Serving good coffee is a practical way for us to say we value you. We are glad you are here!

This ministry entails the cleaning and upkeep of the NWVC Building's kitchen brfore and during each Sunday service and special occassion.
Financial Vision & Growth

We want to reach out and bless as many people as possible with God's love, meeting practical needs as Jesus commanded us to do.

This ministry if for anyone who has desire to help NWVC raise money to pay off debt in order to financially help others more. This may include those who are creative thinkers, experienced in promotion or detail oriented.
Intercessory Prayer

Intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others. This group prays for the needs of our country, community and church family on a regular basis to further God's kingdom work here among us.

Intercessory prayer lays a foundation for all the work that God does here at NWVC. God desires us to seek His will and then pray accordingly in order that His kingdom work may increase. love to pray and desire to bring people and requests before God on behalf of others.

Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain is a Group of people available through phone or email to be contacted and asked to pray on their own for a given situation that arises. It is for People who love to pray anytime, anyplace.ove to pray anytime, anyplace.

God asks us to pray. He longs for us to ask in order that we shall receive. (Matt. 21:22, James 5:16, 2 Chronicles 2:14)
